Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is the first event of the school year. Members are informed of the different kinds of events that will be planned throughout the year.
This event gives students the opportunity to learn about bioengineering in the world of academica. Different professors and post-doctorate fellows give presentations on their research in bio-engineering, and some "behind the scenes" of the world of academia. This is useful for students that are planning on pursuing research and graduate studies. A big thank-you goes to this year's speakers; Professor Michael Sefton , Dr. Ehssan Koupaie , Dr. Courtney Toth , and Dr. Alessandra Biz
Summer Research Talk
Interested in doing research this summer, but not sure how to get started? Unsuccessful in finding research positions in the past? BESt - Bioengineering Student Association is presenting a summer research talk with special guest Professor Penney Gilbert ! She will be presenting tips and tricks to landing your dream summer research position.
The annual BESt Design Competition is a fun way to explore issues in the current bioengineering industry. You will be given a real-life problem that you can solve using your engineering design skills. On January 25th, you will be competing against other teams in groups of four. All disciplines and years are welcome, and there will be prizes for the top teams!

Grad School Talk
Interested in graduate studies? Come join our grad-school talk where graduate students talk about what they do in grad school, and how it is different than undergraduate studies. They can answer any questions you have, and give tips when applying to grad school. A big thanks goes out to our speakers; Serena Mandla, Alexandros Sklavounos and Leo Chou!
Come join our industry talk where representatives from different bio-engneering companies come in and talk about what it is like to work in this field. This can help when looking for a PEY and networking opportunites are also available.
